The new ALPA Gallery module

Since the early days of the publicly available world wide web ALPA is maintaining its web presence. The first website dates from 1996. The site is growing in content since the first day and changed its appearance over time. Together with our Basle based partners kubus media we recently introduced the complete overhaul of our image gallery module.

The ALPA Gallery is collecting images from ALPA customers, linking their creators together genre and equipment used (see also section "Photographers").  The ALPA Gallery offers some handy tools to search and navigate among all the images.

General use

The gallery is self loading. Just scroll down the browser window and the next portion starts loading without delay. All images are arranged as square thumbnails.

Hover over them with your mouse and see them enlarge partially with the loupe functionality. Click on a thumbnail and see the full view with all the technical details available.

Clicking on the enlarged image switches to the next image already loaded or use the left/right arrows keys for navigating back and forth.

The gallery is now available in our mobile version too. The website diverts you to the mobile version when using a mobile device automatically.

Fullscreen mode

The new fullscreen mode of the ALPA gallery allows the undisturbed browsing through the image archive. All selections (photographer, lens, camera, solution) remain persistent while switching from standard to fullscreen mode and back.

Selection

Use our selection tools for drilling down and select photographers, lenses and cameras used among various photographic solutions/genres. Start with a photographer and see what cameras and lenses he/she is using an in what photographic genres he/she is active. Or start your query with the lens or camera you are interested and get all the related pictures within your selection.
